#25daysofgratitude: Thank you CHOW DOWN Restaurants!
Today’s #25daysofgratitude post is dedicated to the restaurants that make our annual Chow Down fundraiser possible. Each summer restaurants and bars in Columbia City and Hillman City provide quick, tasty bites for food adoring participants. Folks are able to partake in this delicious culinary adventure by purchasing a passport that is stamped at each location in exchange for an iconic bite. These passport sales directly benefit Rainier Valley Food Bank and highlight the unique and vibrant culinary culture of South Seattle. This event would never be possible without the amazing restaurants and bars that participate by opening their doors and sharing their flavors.
We are now gearing up for 2016’s Chow Down fundraiser on July 26th and would love to express gratitude for some of our wonderful restaurant participants. Both Island Soul Restaurant and Wabi-Sabi Sushi Bar & Restaurant have been with us since the 1st annual Chow Down back in 2011, and have signed on for another year in 2016. We love having these two participate each year and contribute to the tradition that Chow Down has become. We also love adding new stops to Chow and are excited to welcome Spinnaker Bay Brewing Company to the line-up this year!
Union Bar and Flying Lion Brewery were new to Chow Down last year and have also confirmed that they are ready for 2016. We love this mix of tried and
true with some new flair each year. Thanks to all of our restaurant partners for making this a celebrated summer tradition!
