4 Ways to Give this Holiday Season
South Seattle has sprung alive this holiday season with the spirit of giving, leaving more folks looking for opportunities to lend a helping hand! Will you join us this holiday season?
Like many others, our food bank relies on the support of our community to help meet our neighbors’ needs. If you are looking for a way to get involved this holiday season, check out these four ways that you can help us most.
Join The Full Plate Club
Become a member of our Full Plate Club by setting up a monthly donation. Recurring donors increase their impact by donating monthly, which helps fuel our annual operating budget and provides consistent funding throughout the year. Membership benefits include exclusive Q&A events with our Executive Director, Gloria Hatcher-Mays, as well as early access to event tickets, and custom merchandise.
#DonateDifferently
Take the #DonateDifferently challenge and swap your donation of canned goods for a gift of the same dollar value, donated to us online. By doing so, you’re multiplying your purchasing power, enabling us to purchase more of the foods our guests prefer this holiday season. Make a donation through our website or start your own Facebook Fundraiser to encourage friends to participate in the challenge.
Share Your Time with Us
We’re always looking for new neighbors to join us. Sign up to volunteer on Wednesdays and Thursdays to pack bags for home delivery. Have a love for driving? We are also looking for home delivery drivers to help deliver groceries to our guests on Thursday afternoons. Looking to be involved in the hustle and bustle? Support our grocery shopping programs on Fridays and Saturdays by helping hand out food to our guests.
Become a Member of our Board
Share your expertise with RVFB by joining our Board of Directors. Our board members bring diverse perspectives, and unique expertise with them – will you share your insights with us? We encourage folks with finance, facilities and maintenance, legal, human resources, and development experience to apply.
As this holiday season approaches, we hope to see your involvement throughout the season and into the new year as we can work together to meet the growing needs of our community year-round.
