Carson Spaulding
Driver Coordinator
Meet Carson, our Driver Coordinator! Carson coordinates our van fleet usage and leads our Grocery Rescue Program, where we partner with nearby stores to distribute food needed off the shelves and to our neighbors’ plates! You may have also seen him at our mobile markets as he helps set up and take down the event hardware. In his time with us so far, Carson enjoys the people making RVFB possible, along with meeting the volunteers and interacting with our guests.
Some fun facts about Carson: He’s from a small town called Chadwick in Illinois but has been living in The Emerald City for 15 years. When he was younger, Carson often visited Costa Rica and even attended school for a semester there. He also loves the outdoors, watching baseball and basketball games, playing card games with friends, and cooking!
As for food, he’ll snack on popcorn and never turn down a good sandwich. His go-to lunch spot is Mi Ranchito on Kenyon and Rainier. He recommends their authentic street tacos sold inside the store.
If you’re looking to donate to RVFB, Carson recommends Halal food, coffee grounds, and dog food. Our guests’ pets need meals, too!
