Hannah Wertzberger
Youth and community coordinator
Meet Hannah, our Youth and Community Program Coordinator! She partners with Seattle Public Schools and community organizations to send food to youth in our neighborhood. Hannah loves the welcoming and supportive staff and volunteers, the inviting and positive culture, and everyone’s generosity and willingness to help each other.
Hannah’s from the small town of Mount Shasta, California, but has lived in Seattle since 2016. One of her go-to lunch spots near the food bank is Chu Minh Sandwiches and Coffee. Their Bahn Mi and fried egg rolls are her favorite. Outside of work, she likes swimming in Washington’s rivers and lakes in the warmer seasons and reading and watching reality TV or horror movies at home in the winter. Her favorite horror movies include Possession, Raw, and Jennifer’s Body. Hannah also enjoys poetry, hiking, and plants – she’s working on expanding her garden by removing grass and planting wildflowers and PNW native plants.
If you want to donate to RVFB, Hannah recommends packable, easy-to-cook meals and snacks for our Backpack Program, such as mac ‘n cheese, soup, and applesauce.
