Celebrating the Feeding Families 5K
Our first virtual 5K has come to a close! With the help of our nearly 20 participants, we raised more than $7,000 and brought in roughly 50 new donors throughout the month. A special thank you to Columbia Bank for providing us with sponsorship for this event.

Heroes Uncovered: LA’s Story

Spreading Holiday Cheer with the 14th Annual Cookie Party
The 14th Annual Cookie Party went off without a hitch on December 6th, providing an opportunity for community members, Geraldine’s Counter, and the Rainier Valley Food Bank to get together and celebrate the holiday season.
RVFB is Moving!
After years of planning, we acquired a new building that will transform our ability to serve the growing demands for food and support services throughout the Rainier Valley. We will work out of our new home while the design and construction of our new building takes place.
New things are brewing at RVFB
Rainier Valley Food Bank is excited to announce our latest partnership with Flying Lion Brewing.
This exclusive “RVFBrew #7” will be released on November 1st at Flying Lion Brewing (5041 Rainier Ave S #106, Seattle, WA 98118).
Kraken Community Event
On Friday, October 8th, Rainier Valley Food Bank had the opportunity to visit the Kraken Community Iceplex to watch the Kraken team practice before the season starts and a chalk talk with a Kraken coach. WaFd Bank presented us with a large (literally) check for $20,000.
2021 Community Harvest Gala

Seattle: Resources for Smoky Days
In preparation for a potential poor air quality event this wildfire season, the Seattle Human Services Department (HSD) is engaged in planning, in partnership with the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and Public Health—Seattle & King County (PHSKC), to support those living unsheltered by opening up cleaner air shelters if the need arises.
